Medusa Mask that I created for Kambriel for the Masquerade Ball here in Portland a couple of years ago. She also has a tumblr site here. The most beautiful costumes you will see. I also did one for her husband (but I will post that one later).

Another wonderful paper robot by my husband, photos by me. You should see what our house looks like with these mechanical creations laying about. I love that he has a mythology attached to each of them, which plays out in the mechanics and the fairly accurate ornamentation.

that sleeps in me;
all day I hear its soft, feathery turnings, its malignity.”

“This unusual specimen was acquired after much hardship and toil. The legend of the living demon skull had been passed down for generations but not many knew where to find this relic. Eventually it was retrieved from the bottom of a well. Our excitement over finding it quickly disappeared and soon we wished we had not uncovered such an obnoxious abomination. The skull, being of an infernal nature, will never truly die….the eyes and voice are very much alive. I cannot describe how annoying and tedious it is to hear this demon’s constant chatter and commentary on anything and everything that surrounds it. Nothing can stifle the barrage of stupid observations, opinions and just…absolute drivel. Apparently tedious small minded verbal diarrhea is one of Hell’s specialties…..”

This demon skull sculpture is cast in hand painted solid polyurethane out of real animal specimens. The eyes are glass.

Overall length of 15”, skull itself is 10” long.
